metaphor exhibits new works of exceptional quality by emerging and mid-career artists. Our focus is on art that surprises, engages and challenges the viewer. We exhibit both image based and abstract work in all media with particular attention to painting, works on paper and installation. The unifying basis to our curatorial approach is a clarity of vision, intent and execution. If you think your work fits into our curatorial vision you may submit work in the following formats only:

We ACCEPT:
1. CD's
We accept Macintosh format only CD's -this is our preferred submission format.

information in the CD should include:
• a folder -with images (up to 20) saved in .jpg or .tif format, no larger than 700 pixels in any dimension
• a text file, word document, or pdf -with a list of the images included with any pertinent information, i.e. title, medium, dimensions, date
• a text file, word document, or pdf -with your resume

2. Artist Websites
If you have a web site, please e-mail the URL to contact@metaphorcontemporaryart.com
Please NEVER send us Jpeg attachments. Our mail server storage is miniscule. We will immediately dump them in the trash.

3. Prints
We will review color copies or print-outs. Again, please be advised: We cannot be responsible for unsolicited materials you send us.

4. Walk-ins
You may drop off materials in person, but we will absolutely not review them in your presence.
